FFTITC met recently with the National Farmers Federation to discuss their AgCAREERSTART program. AgCAREERSTART is a future-focused industry program that engages with the next generation of agricultural workers. It is a 10-12 month gap year program to kick-start young Australian's Careers in Agriculture. It is a great opportunity for the industry to attract a new cohort of young Australians to experience farm life and all it has to offer as a career pathway.
We need
Passionate host producers to provide the employment opportunity
Enthusiastic young people willing to learn more about agriculture

The FFTITC team were very impressed with the program, particularly with the support given to both participants and employers. It would be great if we could increase the opportunities for young people here in WA. If you have any ideas, click here to email FFTITC. We'd be more than happy to discuss how we can support and promote this program.
