As reported in our last Nimble News, the Food, Fibre and Timber Industries Training Council, in conjunction with the Waalitj Foundation, hosted an inaugural Skills on Country Network Forum on the 18th March 2026.   A diverse group of leaders, educators, industry representatives and community voices came together to focus on the theme of strengthening Indigenous connection to careers.

We have developed a Network Forum Summary that provides more detail about the event, the learnings and themes that were discussed. Click the PDF link below to access the report.

We have also compiled a short video that highlights the day.  Click here to view the video.

Once again, FFTITC extends sincere thanks to everyone who attended and generously shared their experiences and perspectives. It is hoped that participants left with new connections, fresh ideas and a stronger sense of what is possible when working together.
